WORK HOURS: Full-Time; 40 hours/week
SALARY: OR – Ordinary Resident – N1, 702,800.00 p.a. (Starting basic salary)


Position Grade: FSN-6
In addition to the basic salary, all allowances will be paid
in accordance with the Mission Local Compensation Plan.
*Not Ordinarily Resident: AEFM-US$33,390.00,
EFM-US$30,684.00 p.a. (Starting salary) Position Grade: FP -8.
The U.S. Consulate General Lagos is seeking to employ a suitable and qualified candidate for the position of a Residential Security Coordinator in the Regional Security Office.

BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:
The Residential Security Coordinator (RSC) acts as a member of the Regional Security Officer and assists in the overall planning, implementation, management and coordination of post’s residential security program. This position also performs a wide variety of specific and complex security functions.


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
NOTE: All applicants are instructed to address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each criterion.
1. A University degree in Engineering, Architecture, Chemistry, Mathematics, physics, Geography, Law, Sociology, or political Science is required.
2. Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible general work experience with a government office or large private organization is required
3. Level IV English (Speaking/Reading/Writing) is required. Level 3 (good working knowledge) Yoruba is required.
4. A working knowledge of Foreign Affairs Manual (FAM) and Foreign Affairs Handbook (FAH) sections related to Diplomatic and Residential Security is required.
5. Must be able to understand and apply U.S. Government regulations and produce logical, concise and objective report.
6. Must be computer literate with ability to work effectively with others and coordinate ongoing projects.
SELECTION PROCESS
When fully qualified, U.S. Citizen Eligible Family Members (USEFMs) and U.S. Veterans are given preference. Therefore, it is essential that the candidate specifically address the required qualifications above in the application.

ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA
1. Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget, and residency status in determining successful candidacy.
2. Current employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply.
3. Current Ordinarily Resident employees with an Overall Summary Rating of Needs Improvement or Unsatisfactory on their most recent Employee Performance Report are not eligible to apply.
4. Currently employed U.S. Citizen EFMs who hold a Family Member Appointment (FMA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment.
5. Currently employed NORs hired under a Personal Services Agreement (PSA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment unless currently hired into a position with a When Actually Employed (WAE) work schedule.
